single bet calculator

OK — been using this thing for about five months now and it's basically bookmarked at this point, so figured I'd say something since a lad on another thread asked me the other day. Am UK based, mostly bet football and racing, nothing mad, for context.

How I found it was genuinely a bit daft — I could never figure out what an e/w payout would be with 1/5 odds a place. I'd just eyeball it and moan when the payout landed. Now I type the odds in first, every time, even the boring singles.

Their single bet calculator tool is the one I use most — you drop in the price and your stake and it shows returns straight away, fractional or decimal, doesn't matter. There's also the fiddly ones — trebles returns, lucky 15s, patents and yankees, and that's where I'd always lose track. If you fancy a poke about, it's here odds matching calculator and there's no login wall, which I appreciated.

What actually changed how I bet is the more serious extras. The probability thing that shows the overround, and a kelly staking tool — I stick to fractional kelly since full stakes are far too aggressive. The dutch tool gets used a fair bit if I'm covering two or three runners.

Couple of gripes. Its interface feels very functional, let's say — zero polish, it's clearly function over form. Phone-wise it's usable but the bigger tables need a bit of scrolling. Also there's no app, it's browser only — slight shame but you asked.

Anyway. Doesn't cost anything, not plastered in adverts, does the job. Anyone who still works out returns on a calculator app, try it — it's saved me a load of dumb bets I'd have regretted.
